Schiphol Airport

It appears that since Blogger and I don't get along very well, I'll have to break up some daily posts into smaller ones. Hopefully someday I'll be better at this.

In the meantime, our layover at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport was interesting. We found tulips and chocolate -- it is "Holland" after all., We spotted these beautiful tulips.....

After wandering over closer to enjoy, we discovered that these are all carved out of wood! They did have real tulips, but these were actually more impressive!

And then there was the chocolate everywhere. If you take a closer look, you'll see this is a replica of the earth -- made out of chocolate. Unfortunately it wouldn't fit in my carry-on.

And, of course, being the busy "hub" that it is, even in this small section of the airport, you can see five different country's airlines. (Jennye, the green Aer Lingus in the background is for you!)
