Dolomites -- part 1

After crossing into Italy, we did a short loop to get introduced to the amazingly awesome mountain formations known as the Dolomites. The switchbacks were unbelievable as were the mountains. I'll just post some pictures and let them speak for themselves. I had hoped to get a picture of us meeting a tour bus on one of the switchbacks, but I was always too terrified to get the camera out in time! We will be doing a longer loop through another section of these mountains tomorrow. Hopefully my blood pressure medicine will have kicked in by then and I can capture some of the traffic challenges!
